About the project

This landscaping project in Prestbury started as a patio construction soon became a full wrap around landscpaing project. The clients were coming to the conclusion of a lengthy building extension and our task was to construct a new patio area for a self contained apartment - newly constructed. After a full design consultation it was agreed that Sahara Indian Sandstone would complement the light coured render of the house, this coupled with Indian Sandstone Walling stone, would create a tradtional looking patio terrace, giving a generous area for outdoor dining. The client wqaso impressed with the product choice and workmanship that the upper terrace patio was rennovated and a new flight of steps constructed to join the upper and lower tiers. The Indian Sandstone was used to create a pedestrian pathway around the house, with further raised beds and walling creating visual interest in otherwise mundane parts of the garden. The garden area was further improved with a new lawn area. At the front of the house, the traditonal features were continued, however the inclusion of large slate monlith water feature, and the inclusion of grasses and architectural plants gives the front of the house a modern slant. The driveway was edged using Sandstone cobbles, and professionally re-surfaced with new tarmaccadam by our friends at premier driveways.The accent lighting in the steps and the raised beds creates a wonderful viusal when approaching the house in the evening, this coupled with the sound of running water is a wonderful welcome to the clients newly rennovated home. The project was completed over 3 months, with a total build cost of £75000.
