About the project

This landscaping project in Mottram St Andrew was completed in November. On arrival to the site in Mottram St Andrew it was clear that the garden had potential, but after a lengthy rennovation the outdoor space had been forgotten. The client wanted to restore the pool area ready to enjoy in the summer, a new area of lawn was to be laid with sumptuous borders filled with shrubs and perrenials. The landscaping project started in October, the pool area was excavated ready to recieve the new decking sub frame of 6x2 and 8x2 timbers. The electrical feeds were run out to the pool area, ready to install the dekcing uplights. The decking area was constructed using 42mm thich soft wood grooved decking boards, and ip66 waterproof l.e.d up lights were fitted to bring the area to life after dark. It was then left to tackle the rest of the garden area. The ground was cleared using a 1.5tonne plant hire, and the area levelled by laser, we then brought in over 25 tonnes of top soil to rejuvinate the beds and prepare for the lawn turf. The lawn was then edge using ever edge steel edging strip, a must for those who want to keep the sweeping curved edges of the lawn all year round. We then worked on a planting scheme and plan with our clients. They wanted to an established hedgerow to provide privacy when using the pool, we planted root ball Phtotina Fraseri which provided insant privacy at a height of 6ft. The shocking crimson red of the photinia also created a wonderful viusal from the house. The beds were planted with a mixture of shrubs and herbacious plants, with a host of colour all year long. This landscaping and decking project in Mottram St-Andrew was completed in 20 days at a cost of £17500.
