As with a lot of our landscpaing projects, we tend to arrive on site after an extension or rennovation. The garden has typically been used as storage or in some cases a skip This garden, in Wilmslow, it would seem had been used as the latter! There was every form of bulding waste you could possibly imagine, strewn over the garden, and Home Ground was employed to create a garden out of the garbage! The site was promptly cleared and levlled, we had worked with the clients for a month previsouly to design the garden they were hoping for. The client had previously chosen the paving product, and wanted to encorparate rasied renderred beds to create a contempoary feel to the new garden. The clients also wanted to divide the garden area, and had requested an area of decking at height to create a sperate entertaining space. After setting levels and sub-base material, we set about updating the gardens perimeter using closeboard feather edge fencing. With this in place the new sawn and polished Indian Sandstone was laid. The raised renderred beds were constructed using solid 4inch concrete blocks and renderred using Krend compound. The clever use of deking boards, allowed us to construct a seat within the raised beds, allowing for some much needed garden storage space underneath. A renderred wall was constructed for a future outdopr kitchen to be fitted on completion. The decking was constructed using tanlised construction timber and soft wood decking boards at 42mm in depth. Although soft wood, when looked after these will last many years to come. The planting of bamboos and a modest area of lawn completes the garden. This landscaping project was completed in 20 days at a final cost of £14000.
