At Home Ground we are able to offer our clients a full Landscape Design and Hard Landscaping service in Macclesfield, Cheshire. This project in Westbrook Drive includes a new area of Decking and Indian Sandstone paving creating an interesting and practical new garden in Macclesfield.

This landscaping project in Macclesfield showcases a variety of our landscaping skills and abilities. This landscaping project was completed in December 2012, and posed a variety of logistical challenges, with limited access for excavtion works and all waste having to be removed by hand using wheel barrows, through the house and garage! After working closely on the garden design with the clients, we were able to develop a full 3d garden design which divided the garden plot into 3 new practical garden areas. Taking into consideration the topography of the ground and size of the plot.

Indian Sandstone Paving Macclesfield

After excavating approximately 60tonnes of ground a new 19inch thick retaining wall was constructed using Indian Sandstone walling stone to construct the new wall face. An Indian Sandstone patio area was laid with paved steps leading you up to another area of paving. A raised sleeper planting bed allows the client somwhere to grow vegetables and produce. A softwoood railway sleeper wall retains the upper lawn area.

New Lawn
There is nothing better than a new lawn to add a lift to a garden area. After the excvation and levelling works we laid a large area of lawn truf providing a soft inviting natural space for the clients to enjoy with their young son during the summer. The softwood railway sleepers are laid upright to construct a raised sleeper planting bed providing a generous space to add splashes of seasonal planting and colour.

Decking Macclesfield

A new area of decking was constructed to allow the clients somwehere to enjoy the last of the summer sun, providing a generous new reception area for barbecues and entertaining. The upper garden area was previously a mound of rocks and soil, the new decking construction provides a large practical space for the clients to enjoy in the garden in Macclesfield. The decking was constructed using 42mm softwood treated decking boards. A stainless steel wire balustrade adds a contempoary touch to the new area of decking.
